GRSi is sponsoring an event to benefit wounded veterans.  This is a 100,000 vertical feet challenge to raise money for Two Top Adaptive and their work teaching wounded warriors and others with challenges to ski and other sports activities.  GRSi president and ski enthusiast, David Affeldt, along with up to 25 others, including his son, will be participating in this event,  that is expected to require 12-14 hours of continuous skiing at Whitetail Resort, with more than 100 downhill runs required to reach the ambitious goal.  Tax deductible donations can be made at the Two Top Adapative website.

GRSi has achieved many milestones through the years but 2011 was particularly exciting. We were ranked by Inc. Magazine, amongst all privately held companies in the country, as the 38th fastest growing engineering company – and 32nd in job creation.  We also made their Maryland “Top 50” list and the “Top 100” list for the D.C. Metro area.  And, if that’s not enough, Dunn & Bradstreet’s allBusiness has ranked us #1 in sales regionally and as the #2 employer in Frederick.

We shared the excitement and celebrated with those who have contributed to this success at our Open House, at our new corporate location.  This event was attended by nearly 100 guests.
